Musicy Gaining a Following

Hurray! I'm thrilled. Musicy seems to be catching on with some in a big way.

According to the summary statistics on the SourceForge website, Musicy has been downloaded from SourceForge over 700 times!

Musicy is also available from many other sites, so in actuality, Musicy has probably been downloaded much more, but there's no way to know exactly how much.

Hopefully this will generate a buzz and a crack team of developers will appear to help turn Musicy into everything it has to potential to be. With a few more hands on deck, Musicy could go bigtime!

Musicy 0.7.5.0 Released Today!

This version of Musicy has all of the same great features as the previous versions of Musicy, but has also added a small feature that provides tips while searching (filtering) in the mp3 library.

Musicy Tip #2:

Do you know about Musicy's "Remove Small Files" button?

This secretly awesome jewel lies within Musicy's "Library" interface. The "Remove Small Files" button fires off a team of specially trained snipers who hate station intro's and incomplete files. The snipers rummage through your MP3 library and delete all of the MP3s that are to small to possibly be of any use.

As far as size is concerned, Musicy currently reviews all files based on the 1MB rule. Less than a MegaByte, and out you go! It's amazing how useful this feature can be. I know that I've saved hours!

On a side note I was listening to beautiful streaming MP3s with Musicy at work today. Were you?

Happy streaming!

Musicy Tip #1:

Did you know that you can use the "LIKE" filter in the Musicy library with the '%' wildcard character?

examples:

artist LIKE %grateful% (searches for artists with "grateful" in their name, like the Grateful Dead)

file LIKE %(1% (searches for filenames with "(1" in the filename, like when the file is a duplicate of another file.)

Hope you're all enjoying Musicy!
